Sıdıka Başçı received her Ph.D in economics from Bilkent University in 1998. She has taught at different universities in Turkey and United Kingdom. Her research area is econometrics and specifically she is interested in model selection. She founded a consultant firm where reports on economical and financial issues were being prepared. She managed the firm for five years from 1999 to 2005. She is among the founders and managers of Econometric Research Association which publishes the semi-annual international, EconLit indexed journal “International Econometric Review”. She is also the Associate Editor of this journal. During the years 2006 to 2011, she worked at Statistical Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as the Director of the Statistics and Information Department and Acting Director. In 2011 she started to work at Strategic Thinking Institute as the Coordinator of the Economic Program. She stopped working at the Institute in 2013 and started teaching econometrics at both undergraduate and graduate level at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor. She has many articles published in different journals.

Mustafa Özer (Prof. Dr.) is an economist and teaches at the Anadolu University, Eskişehir, Turkey. Mustafa Özer received his Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at Anadolu University and an MA from the Department of Economics at Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Mustafa Özer’s areas of research are applied econometrics (especially in the fields of tourism economics, financial markets, Turkish Economy and open macro economy), financial crises, business cycles, as well as civil society and publishes articles in international journals especially subjects of financial market interactions, current account deficit and its effect on macro economy and foreign trade, growth and tourism. He teaches the Ph.D. econometrics courses at Social Sciences Institute of Anadolu University and Belgrade Banking Academy, Belgrade, Serbia. Mustafa Özer also teaches Central Banks at different countries. Özer led the both national and international projects regarding the role of civil society in Turkey, especially measuring the value added and employment contributions of civil society. Özer is also member of the scientific committee of international conferences such as MIBES, ICOBAS, ASECU, IJOPEC, EconAnadolu, Europe and Asia: Economic Integration Prospects and EUREFE. He is also editiorial board member of the international scientific journals such as Equilibrium. Quarterly Journal of Economics and Economic Policy, Journal of Risk Management, the Journal of International Interdisciplinary Business-Economics Advancement, International Econometric Review, and, Journal of Central Banking Theory and Practice and some journals in Turkey. With an experience of more than fifteen years, Saud has proficiency in all types of data handling and analysis including Big Data (Huge, Fat and Large). He has expertise in Macro-Econometric Modeling, Micro-econometric Modeling, a-theoretical simulation techniques and Forecasting. As a Data Analyst, he worked in UNICEF funded project “Sustainability Check on WASH Services (Rural Open Defecation Free and Rural Drinking Water Supply Schemes - RWSS) in Sindh & Punjab” in collaboration with National University of Science and Technology (NUST) and ANN associates. He worked as Lead Econometrician in Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) funded project “Economic Management Modeling in ECO Member Countries”. As a team lead he evaluated the methodological aspects of Global Innovation Index (GII) and highlight the reasons behind poor performance of PAKISTAN in GII 2016. He is trained at National School of Public Policy, Lahore on a course “Ambassador Of Evidence: Training of Trainers”. He attended workshop on Price Statistics at “Training Wing, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Islamabad”. He remained Member of National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. He is member of ‘Energy Division’ at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. Currently he has been working on several Demand Driven Research (DDR) studies requested from Finance Division Government of Pakistan, Chief Economist Pakistan and Pay & Pension Commission of Pakistan.
