The concept of color is used in many branches of art. Literature is one of these branches of art. Due to its descriptive feature, the concept of color is more common in the field of literature and especially in the genre of poetry. Özdemir Asaf is one of our important poets who left his mark on the Republic Period with his pure poetry examples and stood out with the color elements he used in his poems. It is noteworthy that the signifier dominates the signified through colors in his poems. In this respect, the use of color in Asaf's poems is unusual. In fact, Özdemir Asaf's use of color is so advanced that it can even be claimed that color manifesto is made in his poems. In Asaf's world of poetry, it is often seen that colors gain new meanings apart from their known meanings. Rather, he poetically explains in which meanings and where colors will be used. In this study, we will try to examine the use of color and the color manifesto that Özdemir Asaf uses in his poems. We divided our work into two parts. In the first part, we evaluated Özdemir Asaf's poems published while he was alive. In the second part, we focused on his poems published after his death. We have confirmed that the poet, who forms colors into his poems, draws a concrete and abstract rainbow in his poems.
