Abstract

Veriler Web of Science veri tabanından alınmıştır. Araştırmaya 2023 yılı sonuna kadar yayımlanmış tüm makaleler dahil edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin görselleştirilmesinde VOSviewer programından yararlanılmıştır. Web of Science veri tabanında bulunan istatistiklerin yanı sıra, veriler Excel’e aktarılarak tanımlayıcı istatistikler yapılmıştır. Dönüşümcü liderlik konusunda sağlık sektöründe 2023 yılı sonuna kadar 358 makale yayımlanmıştır. İlk makale 1992 yılında yayımlanmıştır. 2008 yılı sonrası yayımlanan makale sayısında (348) önemli bir artış olmuştur. En üretken ülke Amerika Birleşik Devletri’dir. En fazla makale “Journal of Nursing Management” dergisinde yayımlanmıştır.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to present a general view of the studies on transformational leadership in the health sector by evaluating them through bibliometric analysis. Data was obtained from the Web of Science database. All articles published until the end of 2023 were included in the study. The VOSviewer program was utilized for visualizing the obtained data. In addition to the statistics available in the Web of Science database, descriptive statistics were made by transferring the data to Excel. Until the end of 2023, 358 articles were published on transformational leadership in the healthcare sector. The first article was published in 1992. After 2008, there has been a significant increase in the number of articles published (It was found out that 348). The most productive country is the United States of America. The most articles were published in the “Journal of Nursing Management”. Most studies were conducted in the field of nursing. The most prolific author is Kvist, T. The most cited study was conducted by Avelio et al. (2004). Job satisfaction, burnout and work engagement are among the most commonly used variables along with transformational leadership. It has been determined that there is a growing interest in transformational leadership in the healthcare sector. Researchers are advised to plan their studies by considering the current status and trends of transformational leadership studies in the healthcare sector.
