Abstract

Maliğn plevral sıvı, multipıl miyelomda (MM) oldukça nadir görülmektedir. Genellikle hastalığın geç dönemlerinde görülmekte ve kötü prognoza işaret etmektedir. MM nedeniyle 6 kür kemoterapi sonrası takipleri sırasında dispne gelişen 62 yaşındaki erkek hasta kiliniğimize gönderildi. Sağda massif plevral sıvı tespit edildi. Yapılan ponksiyonda alınan sıvıda, atipik plazma hücreleri görüldü. Dispneik olan hastada semptomatik rahatlama sağlamak için talk plöredez uygulandı. Miyelomatöz plevral sıvıların nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunuldu.

MYELOMATOUS PLEURAL EFFUSION: CASE REPORT

Abstract

Malign pleural effusion in multiple myeloma (MM) is relatively infrequent. It is generally seen at later stages of the disease and related with poor prognose. 62 years old male patient referred to our clinic because of dyspnea after 6 cyclus of chemotherapy for MM. Massive pleural effusion was found on the right side. Atypical plasma cells seen in effusion after thoracentesis. Talc pleurodesis performed for symptomatic relief of the patient who was dyspneic. We reported the case because myelomatous pleural effusions seen relatively rare.
