OBLITERATIVE BRONCHIOLITIS ORGANIZING PNEUMONIA WITH SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

Year 2013, Volume: 27 Issue: 2, 135 - 138, 01.10.2013

Abstract

Obliterative bronchiolitis organizing pneumonia (BOOP) is a diease characterized by polypoid structures comprised of granulation tissue within respiratory bronchioles, alveolar canals and alveoli and accomponied by organize pneumonia. BOOP may be associated with a variety of infectious agents such as pneumocystis (carinii) jiroveci pneumonia (PCP), cytomegalovirus (CMV), and herpes simplex virus (HSV), or may be attributable to drugs, including some immunosuppressive agents. It is characterized by patchy infiltration in lungs. Its massive view is rare. While it is not generally seen with lung cancer, it is also known that its relationship with the same localization is quite rare. Our case has been presented to point out the interesting and rarely-seen relationship which is diagnosed with BOOP in diagnostic researches for right parahilier massive leison with open lung biopsy; but, has the case of presence of squamous cell carcinoma accompoined by resampling during the observation.

BRONŞİOLİTİS OBLİTERANS ORGANİZE PNÖMONİNİN SKUAMOZ HÜCRELİ KANSER İLE BİRLİKTELİĞİ

Year 2013, Volume: 27 Issue: 2, 135 - 138, 01.10.2013
