POSTOPERATİF GEÇİCİ HORNER SENDROMU GELİŞEN POSTERİOR MEDİASTİNAL KİTLE: NÖRİLEMMOMA

Year 2014, Volume: 28 Issue: 1, 61 - 64, 01.05.2014

Abstract

TEMPORARY HORNER'S SYNDROME DUE TO POSTOPERATIVE POSTERIOR MEDIASTINAL TUMOR: NEURİLEMMOMA

Year 2014, Volume: 28 Issue: 1, 61 - 64, 01.05.2014

Abstract

Neurogenic tumors are most frequently found to the posterior mediastinum in thorax. Complete resection is the main treatment of malignant or benign neurogenic tumors. The aim of resection is due to benign of the majority of neurogenic tumors, the removal of symptoms related to local growth, confirm diagnosis and to prevent the possibility of a slight possibility of malignant degeneration. A 62-year-old female patients chest x-ray showed an extensive lesion of the right süperior paramediastinum localization. This lesion was evaluated computed tomography scan. Posterior mediastinal mass was resected complete with the right video assisted thoracoscopy. In this study, review the literature on the subject, we present a very rare occurrence postoperative temporary Horner's syndrome which resected by video assisted thoracoscopy due to posterior mediastinal neurogenic tumor.
