A Research For The Measurement Of The Perceptions Of Entrepreneurship Of Generation Y

Abstract

Entrepreneurship which has started seeing as a profession today, is one of the key factors for economic development and social development. Particularly, increasing the importance of entrepreneurship in information and communication age in which we live, it has provided spread to all sections of society. In this context, the perspective of young people who has a big part in the development of the community in every aspect, on entrepreneurship is important. In our country, entrepreneurship seems to be spreading rapidly, among young people, especially including university students.In this study, perceptions of entrepreneurship of the generation Y were examined in the context of individual properties. The population of this research are university students between the ages of 18-28 who members of the Human Resources and Entrepreneurship Club. The number of samples representing the population; 184 persons. The research data were collected through a questionnaire. Factor analysis and reliability analysis was used to measure the internal validity and the reliability of the scale in this study. Also correlation and regression analysis was used to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables. According to the results of this analysis, It has a moderate correlation between the individual and intellectual properties and a low correlation between the intellectual characteristics and behavioral characteristics.
