Abstract

Özet
Hipoparatiroidi tiroidektomi ameliyatının majör komplikasyonlarından biridir. Hastalar için önemli morbidite sebebidir. Birçok merkez hipoparatiroidi insidansını azaltmak için titiz ve dikkatli bir diseksiyon, gereğinde paratiroid ototransplantasyonu stratejisini benimsemiştir. Bu stratejiyle çalışan merkezlerde yapılan çalışmalarda ve literatür genelinde kalıcı hipoparatiroidi oranı %1 civarındadır. Bu konu ile ilgili literatür incelendiğinde paratiroid bezleri korumanın yanında en az bir bezin rutin ototransplantasyonunun hipoparatiroidi insidansını azaltabileceğini savunan çalışmalar da mevcuttur. Bu konu ile ilgili az sayıda çalışma mevcut olmasına rağmen, özellikle santral diseksiyon yapılan hastalarda rutin ototransplantasyonun avantajları olabilir. Total tiroidektomi ameliyatlarında ise daha geniş kapsamlı çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı tiroidektomi esnasında rutin paratiroid ototransplantasyonu yapılan çalışmaları değerlendirmektir.
