Thanks to the development of marketing techniques, it is becoming easy to transport the products
to consumers. Depending on this, consumer protection has gained great importance. In this
context, the development of international markets and the effects of the advertisements have
brought on “consumer rights” as social rights.In today’s competitive environment every single
consumer is very valuable and the reactions of the consumers can shape the policies of the firms.
In this context, consciousness level of the consumers, knowing and protecting their rights are
important determiners for modern marketing practices and vital for the consumer protection.
