Abstract
The acceleration of the transition from the agricultural society to the industrial society in the 20th century has rapidly increased the rate of urbanization in the world. With the addition of sustainability and digitalization that emerged at the end of the century, the concept of sustainable smart city emerged as a new concept in urbanism in the 21st century. In order to find solutions to the increasing problems of the cities we live in and to lead a more comfortable life, the number of sustainable smart cities needs to increase. What needs to be done for this is to collect, evaluate and interpret all the data in the cities, to deal with the problems and to produce solutions for these problems in accordance with the digital age. A city's sustainable smart city feature depends on the development of the latest ideas and projects for higher quality and comfortable service by addressing all macro and micro components. In this study, based on literature research on sustainable smart cities; the concept of sustainable smart city has been examined in detail, its basic components, requirements and benefits have been discussed with different frameworks, and it has been stated that smart city components can be moved to the desired comfort level with sustainable smart governance. Since the ideal cities of today and tomorrow will be sustainable smart cities, the quality of life can be increased if this consciousness is already created in our cities. In order to complete this process quickly, total quality increase will be achieved with the participation of all city stakeholders.
