Abstract
Land consolidation (LC) projects are studies that combine fragmented and scattered parcels, produce regular shaped parcels, and improve road, irrigation and drainage services. With the LC projects, triangular, pentagonal, arc etc. irregularly shaped parcels are converted into square and rectangular shapes and made suitable for agricultural activities. There are indexes that examine the changes in shape of parcel before and after LC. Shape Index (SI), Fractal Size Index (FD), Shape Factor (FORM), Area Shape Factor (AFF), Area Perimeter Ratio (APR), and Square Pixel Scale (SqP) are commonly used indexes. In this study, LC data of Çatören neighborhood of Akören district of Konya province were used. SI, FD, FORM, AFF, APR, and SqP average values before LC were 1.2885, 1.3576, 0.6380, 0.0508, 4.5677, and -0.8909, respectively; after LC, it was calculated as 1.3378, 1.3638, 0.5917, 0.0471, 4.7424 and -0.8575. As a results obtained, it has been determined that SI, FD and FORM indexes can be used for change of parcel shape analysis in LC projects.
