Abstract

Abstract

People have used plants from past to present, in many ways such as in treating diseases, feeding, defending, sheltering and warming. Interest in these herbs, which are the raw materials of the food, pharmacy, medicine, agriculture, perfumery and cosmetics industry and used for therapeutic purposes, has increased even more after the negative effects of synthetic and chemical pesticides on human health have been observed. Due to a rich flora of Turkey in terms of medicinal and aromatic plants it has a very large area. In the country with such great wealth, it is very important to know these plant materials, to grow them in a healthy and high quality and to protect these products. For this reason, it is very important to recognize the diseases detected in these plants, to determine the methods of controls with the disease and to plan an integrated control strategy.
