Authors' Ethical Responsibilities
Authors must declare that the works they submit to IJEH are original and previously unpublished.
The same work must not be simultaneously under review in another journal.
All sources used in the study must be cited appropriately and accurately.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data and results of the study.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers should only accept to evaluate studies related to their area of expertise and knowledge.
Reviewer evaluations should be conducted in an impartial, objective, confidential, and constructive manner.
Reviewers should not use the information and data obtained during the evaluation process for their personal or academic gain.
Reviewers must inform the editor of any existing or potential conflict of interest that could affect the evaluation and withdraw from the review if necessary.
Reviewers must report any potential ethical violations, plagiarism, or serious methodological problems in the articles to the editor.
Reviewer reports should be prepared using academic and respectful language; personal, derogatory, or biased statements should be avoided.
Reviewers should strive to complete the evaluation within the timeframe specified by the journal.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Editor and Editorial Board
The editor and editorial board must ensure that all studies are evaluated fairly, impartially, transparently, and based on scientific criteria.
The editor is obligated to strive to improve the quality and contribute to the development of the journal.
Editors should only consider scientific quality, originality, methodological competence, and criteria related to the scope of the journal when evaluating articles.
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of authors' identities, the content of their work, and information regarding the evaluation process.
Editors should ensure that reviewers evaluate works that are relevant to their areas of expertise and consider potential conflicts of interest.
Editors should initiate the necessary investigation in cases where ethical violations are suspected and take appropriate action in accordance with the relevant COPE guidelines.
Editors should ensure that communication between reviewers and authors is conducted professionally, impartially, and within the framework of ethical principles.
Editors should take corrective action, retraction, or other necessary actions if a significant error or ethical issue is identified in a published work.
The editor must comply with the ethical responsibilities listed below, as outlined in the ‘COPE Guidelines for Ethical Conduct and Best Practices for Journal Editors’ and the ‘COPE Guidelines for Best Practices for Journal Editors’ published by the ‘Publication Ethics Committee’.
The editor should inform the members of the editorial board of the following roles and responsibilities:
Supporting the development of the journal
Writing reviews on their areas of expertise when requested
Reviewing and improving publication and writing guidelines
Fulfilling necessary responsibilities in the operation of the journal
Reporting and Handling Ethical Violations
Potential ethical violations may be reported in IJEH by authors, reviewers, editors, or readers. These include plagiarism, duplicate publication, manipulation of data or results, improper authorship, concealment of conflicts of interest, and/or notifications regarding other publication ethics violations are reviewed by the editor. In cases where an ethical violation is suspected, IJEH conducts the necessary review and evaluation based on the relevant guidelines and procedures published by COPE. Depending on the outcome of the review, corrections, clarifications, retractions, or other appropriate editorial actions may be taken. Through this policy, IJEH aims to promote integrity, transparency, impartiality, accountability, and scientific reliability in research and publication processes.
