Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) technology has emerged as a transformative tool within the tourism industry, enabling the enhancement of traveler experiences by integrating digital content with the physical environment. This paper explores the role of AR in tourism, its various applications, and the benefits it offers to both tourists and businesses. By examining the existing literature and case studies, this paper illustrates how AR is revolutionizing cultural heritage, navigation, marketing, and personalization in tourism. The potential of AR to increase engagement, efficiency, and accessibility in tourism is significant, and as the technology evolves, its role in shaping future travel experiences becomes increasingly important.
