Abstract
In today's world, especially after the industrial revolution, the technological possibilities, the rise of the welfare in living conditions, and the resulting increase in the human population in the last
half century, polluted ecosystems and decreasing food sources, the subsequent food need and increasing epidemic diseases lead human beings to alternative food sources and diseases
pushed to find a solution. Beekeeping and benefiting from bee products, whose history is equivalent to the history of humanity, have gone up in the new world conditions, and researches
on the effects of biological activity and chemical content of bee products on human health have gained momentum. It has been determined by studies that apiarnil, whose content and effect
on human health has been investigated in recent years, is a bee product with high potential. In this review, some studies on the importance of apilarnil, a bee product, in terms of human
health and nutrition, its bioactive properties, chemical content and bioactive properties, and which diseases these studies can be complementary/supportive in the treatment were examined.
