Konaklama İşletmelerinde Evcil Hayvana Bakış Açısı: Fethiye Örneği

Abstract

Evcil hayvana verilen değer ve insanlar açısından önemi geçmişten bu yana önemli bir konu olarak insanoğlunun hayatında yer etmektedir. Evcil hayvanını ailesinden bir parça olarak gören insanlar tatile çıkarken de onları yanında götürme ihtiyacı içinde olmaktadırlar. .Bu makalenin amacı evcil hayvan besleyen kişilerin tatilleri sırasında evcil hayvanlarını da yanında götürmelerine konaklama işletmelerinin ne derece önem verip, evcil hayvanlara karşı olan bakış açısını incelemektir. Araştırma kapsamında nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden mülakat tekniği kullanılarak Fethiye'de evcil hayvan kabul eden 10 konaklama işletmeleri ile soru cevap şeklinde görüşülmüş ve veriler toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizleri sonucunda Fethiye destinasyonunda bulunan bu konaklama işletmelerinin evcil hayvan kabulü ve bakımı konusunda duyarlı oldukları ve hizmet verirken evcil hayvanları da düşündükleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan detaylı alanyazın taramasında daha önce bu konuya detaylı değinilmediği saptanmış ve alınyazındaki bu eksiğin giderilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Pet Perspectıve in Accommodation Facilities: The Case of Fethiye

Abstract

ABSTRACT
The value given to pets and their importance for humans has been an important issue in human life since the past. People who see their pets as a part of their family need to take them with them when they go on vacation. The aim of this article is to examine the point of view towards pets, how important accommodation businesses give to people who have pets to take their pets with them during their holidays. Within the scope of the research, using the interview technique, one of the qualitative research methods, 10 accommodation businesses that accept pets in Fethiye were interviewed in the form of questions and answers and the data were collected. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was concluded that these accommodation businesses in Fethiye destination are sensitive about the adoption and care of pets and they also consider pets while serving. In the detailed literature review, it has been determined that this subject has not been mentioned in detail before, and it is aimed to eliminate this deficiency in the literature.
