Yapay Zekânın Sanat Pratiklerini Yeniden Şekillendirmesi: The Lumen Prize 2025 Yapay Zekâ Örnekleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, uluslararası dijital sanat platformu “The Lumen Prize” kapsamında 2025 yılı seçkisinde yer alan yapay zekâ destekli sanatsal üretimleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, yapay zekânın güncel sanat pratiklerindeki teknik, estetik ve tematik işlevlerini değerlendirmek ve bu üretimlerin uluslararası ödül mekanizmalarındaki temsil biçimlerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma, nitel yöntem çerçevesinde doküman analizi ve görsel çözümleme teknikleri kullanılarak yürütülmüştür. Resmî ödül materyalleri, sanatçı açıklamaları, katalog metinleri ve basın bültenleri incelenmiş; AI temelli projeler teknik altyapı (model, veri seti, algoritma kullanımı), estetik strateji (kompozisyon, görsel dil, etkileşim biçimi) ve tematik yönelim (etik, toplumsal ve politik boyutlar) açısından analiz edilmiştir.
Bulgular, 2025 seçkisindeki yapay zekâ destekli projelerin özellikle Cumulus, The Sylphs, Words Beyond Words, Deutsch / Nicht Deutsch ve Self-contained çalışmalarının yapay zekâyı yalnızca üretim sürecini destekleyen bir araç olarak değil, aynı zamanda kavramsal düşünceyi dönüştüren bir aktör olarak konumlandırdığını göstermektedir. Bu eserler, yapay zekânın veri görselleştirme, otonom dil üretimi, algoritmik kimlik sorgulamaları ve dijital mutasyon simülasyonları gibi çok bileşenli işlevler üstlenerek sanatsal üretimle kurduğu ilişkiyi yeniden tanımladığını ortaya koymaktadır.
Sonuç olarak, Lumen Prize 2025 seçkisi, yapay zekâ destekli sanatsal üretimlerin uluslararası sanat ortamında hem estetik hem tematik hem de yaratıcı öznellik açısından dönüştürücü bir potansiyele sahip olduğunu; yapay zekânın günümüz sanat pratiklerinde teknik bir yenilikten çok; düşünsel bir ortaklığa doğru evrildiğini göstermektedir.

Reshaping Artistic Practices through Artificial Intelligence: AI Examples from The Lumen Prize 2025

Abstract

This study examines the artificial intelligence–assisted artistic productions included in the 2025 selection of The Lumen Prize, an international digital art platform. The aim of the research is to evaluate the technical, aesthetic, and thematic functions of artificial intelligence within contemporary art practices and to reveal how these AI-based works are represented within international award mechanisms. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods, specifically document analysis and visual analysis techniques. Official award materials, artist statements, catalog texts, and press releases were reviewed, and AI-based projects were analyzed in terms of their technical infrastructure (model, dataset, algorithmic use), aesthetic strategies (composition, visual language, modes of interaction), and thematic orientation (ethical, social, and political dimensions).

The findings indicate that the AI-assisted projects in the 2025 selection—particularly Cumulus, The Sylphs, Words Beyond Words, Deutsch / Nicht Deutsch, and Self-contained—position artificial intelligence not merely as a tool supporting the production process but as an active agent that transforms conceptual thinking. These works demonstrate that AI redefines its relationship with artistic production by undertaking multifaceted functions such as data visualization, autonomous language generation, algorithmic identity interrogation, and digital mutation simulation.

In conclusion, the 2025 selection of The Lumen Prize reveals that AI-assisted artistic productions possess transformative potential within the international art context—technically, aesthetically, thematically, and in terms of creative subjectivity. The findings show that artificial intelligence in contemporary artistic practices is evolving from a technical innovation into a form of intellectual partnership.
