DAYANIKLI LİDERLİK: ÇALKANTILI ZAMANLARDA ZORLUKLARLA BAŞA ÇIKMA SANATI

Abstract

Çatışmalardan kaynaklanan ekonomik krizler, işleri değiştiren salgın hastalıklar ve hızlı dijital dönüşümlerle karakterize edilen günümüzün iş dünyasında şirketler sürekli değişim, artan risk ve kalıcı belirsizlik ortamında faaliyet göstermektedir. Bu zorlu koşullar, etkili yönetim için belirli niteliklere sahip liderleri gerektirir. Bu kapsamda çalkantılı zamanlarda ortaya çıkan bir liderlik tarzı olarak “Dayanıklı Liderlik” kavramı ön plana çıkmaktadır. Çalışmada dayanıklı liderliğin kavramsal çerçevesini belirlemek amacıyla tanımı, özellikleri ve önemi ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca dayanıklı liderliğin örgütsel dayanıklılığa nasıl katkı sağladığının tartışıldığı çalışmada, dayanıklı liderlik tarzının gelişimine etki eden faktörler açıklanarak, kavramın grup ve birey dayanıklılığı ile olan ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Yapılan literatür taraması ışığında, kavram bir organizasyonun temel amaç ve hedeflerinden sapmadan değişimle başa çıkma ve zor zamanlarda mevcut imkân ve kabiliyetlerini koruma ve geliştirme becerisine yönelik geliştirilen bir liderlik tarzı olarak tanımlanmıştır. Bu liderlik yaklaşımının esneklik, kararlılık, yaratıcılık, değişim yönetimi ve takım çalışması gibi yetkinliklerle karakterize edilen niteliklere sahip olanlarla etkin bir şekilde uygulanabileceği belirlendi. Birbirine bağlı birey ve grupları destekleyen güçlü liderliğin öneminin vurgulandığı çalışmada, dayanıklı bir organizasyonun kritik bir bileşeni olan dayanıklı liderliğin başarasının örgütün başarısıyla eşdeğer tutulduğu vurgulanmıştır. İşletmelerin değişen koşullara uyum sağlayarak, krizlerle başa çıkmaları için ihtiyaç duyulan, aynı zamanda işletmenin gelecekteki performansını etkileyecek stratejik kararların alınmasında, sürdürülebilir bir başarı elde etmesinde etkili olan bir liderlik yaklaşımı olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

Resilient Leadership: The Art of Dealing with Challenges in Turbulent Times

Abstract

In today's business world, characterized by economic crises caused by conflict, epidemics that change jobs, and rapid digital transformations, companies operate in an environment of constant change, increasing risk, and persistent uncertainty. These challenging conditions require leaders with specific qualifications for effective management. In this context, the concept of 'Resilient Leadership' comes to the forefront as a leadership style emerging in turbulent times. This study aims to define resilient leadership, discuss its characteristics and importance, and establish a conceptual framework for it. Additionally, the study explores how resilient leadership contributes to organizational resilience, clarifies the factors influencing the development of this leadership style, and examines its relationship with both group and individual resilience. In the light of the literature review, the concept has been defined as a leadership style developed for an organization's ability to cope with change without deviating from its basic goals and objectives and to protect and develop its existing opportunities and capabilities in difficult times. It has been determined that this leadership approach can be applied effectively with those who have qualities characterized by competencies such as flexibility, determination, creativity, change management and teamwork. This study emphasizes the significance of robust leadership that supports interdependent individuals and groups, emphasizing that the success of resilient leadership, a critical component of a resilient organization, directly correlates with the success of the organization itself. In conclusion, resilient leadership is an indispensable approach for businesses to adapt to changing conditions, manage crises, and make strategic decisions that influence the future performance and sustainable success of the organization.
