HİZMETKAR LİDERLİK: GANDHİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Hizmetkâr
liderlik, özellikle son yıllarda birçok araştırmaya konu olan modern bir
liderlik yaklaşımıdır.
Hizmetkar
lider, çıkarcı bir liderin aksine, çalışanları ilk sıraya koymakta ve onların
refahını ve büyümesini teşvik etmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra örgüt tarafından
istihdam edilenlerin, müşterilerin ve toplumun çıkarlarını göz önüne alması
gerektiğini düşünmektedir.  
Bunun en
bilinen örneklerinden biri de Gandhi’dir. Gandhi adı dünyada hemen hemen herkes
tarafından bilinen, hem emperyalizme hem de sömürgeciliğe direniş denildiğinde
akla ilk gelen direniş liderlerinden biridir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmada; birçok
alanda, kısa zamanda önemli işler başaran Gandhi, hizmetkar liderlik yaklaşımı
ışığında ele alınmıştır.
