Abstract

IJMS, yerelden beslenen ancak bir önceki sayıda Serdar Aydın’ın da ifade ettiği üzere kendisini daha geniş bir entelektüel yelpaze içinde konumlandıran yayın çizgisini bu sayıda da sürdürmektedir. IJMS, bu doğrultuda tarih, teknoloji ve tasarımı merkeze alan bir motivasyonla yoluna devam etmektedir. Önceki sayıda olduğu gibi bu sayıda da sosyal bilimler ile teknik bilimler arasındaki etkileşimi güçlendirmeyi, teknik bilgi ve tasarımı sosyal bilimler alanına daha fazla entegre etmeyi amaçladık. Yazıların seçimi sürecinde de bu temel yaklaşımı gözetmeye özen gösterdik. Bu sayıdaki tüm makaleler, çift kör hakemlik süreciyle tarafsız ve titiz bir incelemeden geçti. Çalışmaları seçerken bilimsel etik ilkelerinden ve yöntem sağlamlığından ödün vermemeye gayret ettik. Elinizdeki bu sayının, alanımızdaki akademik tartışmaları zenginleştirecek fikirler sunduğunu düşünüyoruz.

Abstract

IJMS continues in this issue to pursue its publication line that draws nourishment from the local context while positioning itself within a broader intellectual spectrum, as Serdar Aydın noted in the previous issue. In line with this orientation, IJMS proceeds with a motivation that places history, technology, and design at its core. As in the previous issue, we aimed to strengthen the interaction between the social sciences and the technical sciences, and to further integrate technical knowledge and design into the domain of the social sciences. We took particular care to uphold this guiding approach during the selection of manuscripts. All articles included in this issue underwent an impartial and rigorous double-blind peer-review process. In selecting the studies, we endeavoured not to compromise on scientific ethical principles or methodological robustness. We believe that the present issue offers ideas that will enrich academic debates in our field.
