A Serious Game Application For The Detection Of Explosives

Abstract

Detection, identification and on-site disposal of explosives is an important problem for personnel working in the defense industry today. With the increasing technology, it takes advantage of new cost-effective developments in the use of explosives by terrorists as well as the detection by the relevant teams. In addition, the training of the staff doing this task is a very important issue. It is very important that these personnel train their trainings repeatedly, with low cost, safely and in different scenarios. In this context, in this study, a serious game application consisting of different scenarios was created within the Unity game engine. Military equipment and terrain are specifically modeled for the tasks needed, and subsequently the models have been made in accordance with the scenarios within the game engine.
