Fritillaria schirvanica (Liliaceae), A New Yellow-Flowered From Eastern Anatolia, Türkiye
Abstract
Fritillaria schirvanica Sonay & Balos (Liliaceae) is described as a new species from Siirt province, located in the Eastern Anatolia region of Türkiye. This species is one of the newest additions to Türkiye’s rich Fritillaria diversity. Due to its morphological similarity to Fritillaria minima Rix, a detailed comparison between these two species is provided. The study includes a comprehensive description of the species, a comparative table of morphological characters, detailed photographs, and an assessment of its IUCN conservation status.
