Examining the Relationship Between Organizational Silence and Perception of Equality
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between organizational silence and equity perceptions of secondary school teachers. The study was conducted within the framework of a relational screening design, a quantitative research method. The study group consisted of 414 secondary school teachers working in the Pendik, Tuzla, and Kartal districts of Istanbul. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between variables in the data analysis. The study found that the average organizational silence and equity perceptions of secondary school teachers were at a moderate level. Furthermore, a significant and negative relationship was identified between organizational silence and equity perception. Accordingly, it was concluded that an increase in teachers' equity perceptions was associated with a decrease in their organizational silence levels.
