Simulation and Control of DC/DC Converter forMPPT Based Hybrid PV/Wind Power System

Abstract

Abstract- The   Hybrid PV/Wind power system is the mostpromising renewable energy source due to their complementary nature. In thispaper explains the simulation   andcontrol of  DC/DC converter for aprototype of 3kW PV and 3.2kW PMSG based wind energy conversion system. Theperturbation and observation algorithm fused with the DC/DC converters is usedfor tracking maximum power from the input sources. So power from the twosources can be delivered either independently or simultaneously depending ontheir availability. The singlephase sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) inverter which is  based on PQ control strategy supplied totalpower to the grid and maintained DC link voltage constantly at 400V. The LCLfilter at the output of the inverter kept THD of grid current within thestandard limit, and we have found that power fluctuation has been completelyreduced using battery bank.
