This article conducted an ethnopsychological analysis of the Aromanians under Ottoman rule in 19031908, based on research regarding the Lumina publication the only folk Romanian magazine in the Ottoman Empire. The aim is to highlight the special contribution of this magazine in preserving the ethnic identity of the southern branch of the Romanian people during a complicated and little studied period, when the empire that ensured its unity fell apart and the creation of nation states further accentuated the problem of its existence of the one who in 1905 was named Ulah Milleti. The importance of the study lies in offering its own interpretation of the fate of the Aromanians, taking into account some theoretical landmarks of the Romanian authors Mircea Vulcănescu and Mihai Ralea. Vulcănescu's "temptations" and Ralea's "adaptability" are the main indicators selected in order to outline the psychological profile of the Aromanian ethnic group within the Ottoman millet system.
