A NEW DOCUMENT CONCERNING THE INTEGRATION OF HATAY
Abstract
During the invasion period after signing the Truce of Mondros, the county of İskenderun, which also covered Antakya, was invaded by the England. The commander of the Lightning Armies which was deployed in the area was Mustafa Kemal. The county which meant the essence of the Turkish National struggle for Independence and was approved by the last Ottoman National Assembly within the National Treaty, was in the border of the country.
The Republic of Turkey, which failed to obtain what it had desired in some issues in the peace negotiations that started right after the victory of the National Struggle, continued to struggle to fulfill what he had to do in these matters.
Hatay is one of the issues that made the agenda too busy in this process. With the contribution of a new document we have achieved, we will try to express this process, which we know in some ways.
