Abstract
In the research, it is aimed to determine the status of literary products and images in social studies textbooks to reflect the relevant values of the learning areas. In the research conducted through the document review method of qualitative research, literary products and visuals in 5th-6th and 7th grades social studies textbooks have been studied in the context of values education. As a result of the data analysis, it was observed that the number of values associated with literary products in the 5th 6th and 7th grades was found to be mostly in the areas of active citizenship learning. It was determined that the number of values associated with the visuals, was the most involved 5th grades active citizenship in classrooms, 6th grades individuals and society in classrooms, 7th grades culture and heritage in the learning areas. The research result is the most repetitive of sensitivity value in literary products and the value of caring about family unity has occurred to be the least repetitive value. In visuals, it was determined that the scientific value is most repeated; the value of love was found to be the least repeating.
