Bu çalışma, Enerji ünitesi çerçevesinde yapılan STEM uygulamaları ile ilgili öğretmen ve öğrenci değerlendirmelerinin saptanması amacı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma, Samsun il merkezinde yer alan bir Fen Lisesinin 9. Sınıfında öğrenim gören 30 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Fizik dersi kapsamında 6 haftalık STEM uygulamaların öğretmen ve öğrenciler tarafından değerlendirilmesine yönelik açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan iki ayrı form kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analiz yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler değerlendirildiğinde STEM uygulamaların öğrencilerin öğrenmelerine katkı sağladığı saptanmıştır. Süreçte öğrencilerin bilgilerini daha aktif olarak kullanma fırsatı buldukları tespit edilmiştir. Uygulama sürecinin ders saatleri ile kısıtlı kalması yaşanan en büyük olumsuzluk olarak belirlenmiştir. Uygulamaların farklı ünitelerde de yapılarak geniş bir sürece yayılmasının daha yararlı olabileceği kanaatine varılmıştır.

This study was conducted to find out the assessments of teachers and students about STEM applications in the teaching of the energy unit. The study was conducted with a total of 30 students studying in 9th grade of a Science High School in the city center of Samsun. Two different forms were used for the assessment of 6-week-long STEM applications within the context of physics lesson by teachers and students. The data obtained were used through content analysis method. When the data obtained were assessed, it was found that STEM applications within the context of Energy unit contributed to students’ learning. It was found that students used their knowledge more actively within the process of STEM applications. In addition, the greatest negative aspect was found as the application process being limited to class hours. It was concluded that conducting the application on different units and in a larger period of time can be more useful.
