Abstract

Klasik Sanskrit
Kālidāsa’ya Hindistan’ın Shakespeare’i

Abstract

Known as one of the
most important names in classical Sanskrit literature, Kālidāsa lived during
the Gupta Empire in the 4th century AD. Kālidāsa not only influenced Indian
literature, but also world literature.
Kālidāsa is made to
adhere to India's Shakespeare.
He has received his works in the
Sanskrit language. Subject to my work, Ritusamhāra is one of his poetic works
of youth. It carries the traces of Indian literary tradition of Kāvya. The work
consists of a total of six sections, one hundred and forty-four slokas and each
a season name. This work, which has not yet been transmitted to Turkish,
carries considerable traces of both the pastoral and lyric world of India.
