WOMEN IN TURKEY OF THE 21ST CENTURY AND THE PARADOX OF POLITICS: NON-IDEOLOGICAL PARTY OF WOMEN

Abstract

This study defines the characteristics of the “Non-Ideological Party of
Women” and presents the findings of the field study. Based on data
obtained, we propose solutions to overcome the paradoxical situation of the
women in politics in the 21st century. The concept of the “Non-Ideological
Party of Women” was first developed within the context of this research
project, which was supported by the Dokuz Eylül University Scientific
Research Office and published. The concept points out the collective
movement of women that support different ideologies as well as the support
of men to the party. Besides, we evaluate the importance and the future of
the Non-Ideological Party of Women in political life.
