HIZB-UT TAHRIR AND THE ISLAMIC MOVEMENT OF UZBEKISTAN IN CENTRAL ASIA. OBJECTIVE AND ANALYSIS

Abstract

The İslamic radical movements in Uzbekistan are considered as a threat to this country in particular and regional security and stability. It is clear that the collapse of Soviet Union and new socio-economic and political development that emerged because of it have a great impact on the Middle Asia. Despite the political issues that are about anti-religion and atheism in Soviet period, religion kept its liveliness. After the period independence, peace and unity among religious groups emerged, but since there are those who are radical groups that advocate armed struggle as a method, they are often imported from outside groups. Process of liberalization of political sphere has resulted in occurrence political parties not only democratic sense but also parties with religious direction. The politics of preservation of secular character of the state which the government of the countries of region adhered was accompanied by retaliatory measures concerning Islamic organization that has forced; most of population had to leave in underground. Not having experience of conducting secret activity of the organization, they used power against the state. Unique political force of religious sense which had experience of activity in an underground was Hizb-ut Tahrir and Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan.
