Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a scale for modeling financial literacy and digitalization concepts. Nowadays, financial literacy requires following financial developments as well as having technical knowledge. Therefore, the use of digital channels at the point of accessing information shortens the process of accessing financial data and enables faster decisions. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in considering the importance of digitalization, with developments in the field of technology and the concepts of financial literacy and digitalization coming to the fore. In this context, the financial literacy and digitalization concepts are analyzed with the help of the developed scale. For this purpose, the survey was applied to the students of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, at the Department of Banking and Finance. The analysis of data obtained from the survey study was carried out the help of the structural equation model and the hypotheses established on financial literacy and digitalization were tested. According to the results of the study, it is found that students’ digital financial behaviors affect their financial knowledge and behaviors to a significant positive effect.
