BOSTON MARATONU PATLAMALARI SONRASINDA YENİ MEDYA, GAZETECİLİK VE KREDİBİLİTE MESELELERİ

Abstract

Yeni Medya artık Türkiye’de de gündelik ve mesleki hayatların parçası olmuştur. Bu yazıda vatandaşları somut olarak ilgilendiren gazetecilikte güvenilirlik meselesi daha teorik bir düzeyde ele alınacaktır. Buradaki güven meselesi ise, genel olarak gazetecilik otoritesine olan güven değil, haber yapımında yeni medyanın etkisiyle ortaya çıkan haberlere ve gazeteciliğe güvenme meselesidir. Bu güven meselesinin son zamanlarda en somut olarak ortaya çıktığı durum ise, Nisan 2013’te yaşanan ABD’deki Boston Maratonu patlamaları olmuştur. Patlamaların sonrasında, özellikle sosyal medya üzerinden haber yayılımı ya da yapımı yoğun eleştiriye maruz kalmıştı. Yazıdaki teorik tartışma bu eleştirel sürecin somut bir analiziyle sonuçlandırılmaktadır
