Abstract
Purpose and significance: Psychology and cinema try to focus on human behaviors although they have different characteristics. They are fields that benefit from each other. Erikson’s Theory of Psychosocial Development is one of the most important approaches to explain life-span development. Eight stages were defined in the Theory of Psychosocial Development. Individuals experience crises in each stage and they have to solve these crises. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Bal (Honey), Süt (Milk) and Yumurta (Egg) movies directed by Semih Kaplanoğlu through Erikson’s industry versus inferiority, identity versus identity diffusion and intimacy versus isolation stages

Abstract
Birbiri ile farklı özelliklere sahip olmalarına karşın psikoloji ve sinema insan davranışlarına odaklanmaya çalışmaktadırlar. Sinema ve psikoloji karşılıklı olarak birbirinden yararlanan iki alandır. Yaşam boyu gelişimi açıklayan en önemli yaklaşımlardan biri Erikson’un Psikososyal Gelişim Kuramıdır. Bireyler temel tasarım planında her evrede yaşanan krizleri çözmek zorundadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı Semih Kaplanoğlu’nun yönettiği Bal, Süt ve Yumurta filmlerinin Erikson’un (1968) çalışkanlığa karşı aşağılık duygusu, kimlik duygusuna karşı rol karşılığı, yakınlığa karşı yalıtılmışlık evreleri temelinde analiz edilmesidir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman incelemesi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar çocukluk, ergenlik ve genç yetişkinlik dönemlerinin temsili olarak Bal, Süt ve Yumurta filmlerinin Erikson’un (1968) evreler hakkında ortaya koydukları ile örtüştüğünü göstermiştir.
