Professor Dr. Zaki Rashidi is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator, currently serving as the Dean, Faculty of Business Administration at Iqra University. With over 30 years of extensive experience in academia, research, and leadership, Dr. Rashidi has made significant contributions to the field of business education in Pakistan and beyond. In his current roles at Iqra University, Dr. Rashidi also held the positions of Director Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), Associate Dean (Accreditation), and Director (MPhil & PhD Programs). He oversees the international accreditations of the Business School, ensuring its alignment with global standards of excellence.
Before joining Iqra University, Dr. Rashidi served as a Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST. He was the Chair of the Research Committee and Editor of the research journal JISR-MSSE. He also held position head of the Professional Development Centre at FAST-NU; and Chair, Department of Humanities and Sciences, contributing to interdisciplinary education. Furthermore, he worked as a consultant for the USAID EDLINKS Project and actively participated in UNESCO education projects for Sindh. Dr. Rashidi’s expertise is widely recognized in the corporate and academic sectors. He has conducted corporate training sessions, academic workshops, and professional development programs for institutions, including its PCEPT programs for teacher education. As a committed researcher and mentor, Dr. Rashidi has an impressive portfolio of national and international publications and has presented papers at leading international conferences. He has supervised numerous independent research studies, MS theses, and PhD dissertations, fostering academic growth among his students.
Dr. Rashidi is actively involved with the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) as a council member, mentor, peer reviewer, trainer, and the chair of eligibility screening committee. As Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, he brings a visionary approach to enhancing academic quality and research output. His leadership focuses on curriculum innovation, faculty development, and forging strategic partnerships with industry and academia. He is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that prepares students to excel in a dynamic global business landscape.
Dr. Rashidi’s academic journey is marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. He has played a pivotal role in shaping business education through his involvement in policy-making, curriculum development, and international collaborations. Melikşah Utku graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 1990. He received a postgraduate diploma in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1991 and earned a master’s degree in Economic Growth and Development Economics from Marmara University in 1996. In 2024, he completed his PhD in Economic History at Marmara University.

Utku has pursued his professional career in senior executive roles within leading institutions in the private sector and the financial industry. After serving in various positions at Albaraka Türk Participation Bank, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. He also served as a senior executive at major financial institutions, including Albaraka Portfolio Management, Insha Ventures, Katılım Emeklilik ve Hayat A.Ş., and Borsa İstanbul.

Between 2018 and 2024, Melikşah Utku taught courses at Marmara University. As of 2025, he has been teaching banking, financial modeling, and risk management at Boğaziçi University. In addition, he actively serves on advisory and evaluation boards within TÜBİTAK, the Informatics Valley Venture Capital Fund, and Teknopark İstanbul.

Dr. Melikşah Utku has been serving as a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye since 1 May 2025.
