This article includes critical edition of three treatises written by Molla Husraw and Molla Guraný, two prominent figures of the Ottoman intellectual life, on the inheritance relations of a slave with his former master after being freed wala al-ıtq . Molla Husraw wrote a treatise on this juristic problem created by growing number of slaves in the Ottoman Empire in the 9/15th century. Following that work, a number of treatises and fatwa legal opnion texts were published of which the first was written by Molla Guraný. The article presents the Molla Husraw’s treatise and refutation of Molla Guraný to this text. Finally Molla Husraw’s response to this refutation will be presented
