Abstract

Historicans and sociologists have argued that the process of industrialism and social mobility are closely linked. The discussion which based on intergenertional mobility generally restricts to relation father’s and son’s occuption. In this sense, this research try to demonstrate different approach that such field works in sociology should not only includes relation with father’s and son’s occupation but relation with mother’s and daughter’s occupation as well. Besides, that kind of researches need to be extent the point how effect the second generation’s occuption and educational level the intergenerational mobility. Determination of this point is the main aim of this research. İn order to convert these data obtained from field to findings, regression analysis is used. In relation to this, one of the crucial result of the research is that occupational structure is more effective than education level in intergenertional mobility. But it should not mean that education level is not merely important in genarational mobility

İş-Güç Biçimi Ve Eğitim Ölçütleri Açısından Kuşak Değişimi

Abstract

Tarihçiler ve sosyologlar sanayileşme süreci ve toplumsal hareketliliğin birbiri ile yakından ilişkili olduğunu ileri sürerler. Kuşaklar arası hareketlilik üzerine odaklanan tartışmalar, genellikle baba-oğul iş-güç biçimi ilişkisi ile sınırlıdır. Bu bağlamda bu araştırma sosyolojideki bu tür saha çalışmalarının sadece baba-oğul iş-güç biçimi ilişkisini değil aynı zamanda anne-kız iş-güç biçimi ilişkisini de içermesi gerektiğini öne süren farklı bir yaklaşım sunmaya çalışmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra bu tür araştırmaların, ikinci kuşağın iş-güç biçimi ve eğitim düzeyinin, kuşaklar arası hareketliliği nasıl etkilediği noktasına kadar genişletilmesine gereksinim vardır. Bu noktanın belirlenmesi, araştırmanın temel amacıdır. Sahadan elde edilen verileri bulgulara dönüştürmek için regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Buna ilişkin olarak araştırmadan elde edilen önemli sonuçlardan bir tanesi de, kuşaklar arası hareketlilikte iş-güç biçiminin eğitim düzeyinden daha etkili olduğudur. Fakat bu, kuşaklar arası hareketlilikte eğitim düzeyinin hiç önemli olmadığı anlamına gelmemelidir.
