Abstract

In this article, the structural/global sources of “urban poverty” problem are examined. The literature related with the urban poverty problem, stress upon the re-organization of the economic and polilitical structure. Its argued that the decline in the welfare state pratics, exacerbated the urban poverty problem. Although ıt seems fairly true for the developed counties; we do not know ıf its generalizable for the developing and least developed countries.In order to clarify the similar and distinct aspects, there should be a comparisoned assessment. In this study, after drawing the conceptional frame of the urban poverty phenomenon, the mentioned comparison needed to clarify the distinct and the similar aspects playing role in the problem is made in accordance with Turkey in particular

Kentsel Yoksulluğun Yapısal Faktörlerle Analizi: Ekonomik ve Politik Yapının Yeniden Örgütlenmesi: Karşılaştırmalı Bir Analiz

Öz

Bu makalede, “kentsel yoksulluk” sorunun yapısal/küresel kaynakları incelenmektedir. Kentsel yoksulluk sorunuyla ilgili literatür, ekonomik ve politik yapının yeniden örgütlenmesine vurgu yapmaktadır. Refah devleti uygulamalarındaki gerilemenin, yoksulluk sorununu şiddetlendirdiği ileri sürülmektedir. Bunun gelişmiş ülkeler için oldukça geçerli görünmesine rağmen, gelişmekte olan ülkeler ve az gelişmiş ülkeler için genellenebilir olup olmadığını bilmiyoruz. Benzer ve farklı yönlerin açığa çıkarılması için, karşılaştırmalı bir değerlendirme gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, kentsel yoksulluk olgusunun kavramsal çerçevesi çizildikten sonra; yoksulluk sorunda rol oynayan benzer ve farklı yönlerin aydınlatılması için gereken karşılaştırma; Türkiye ile özel bağlantısı içinde yapılacaktır
