His PhD degree in Middle East Political Economy at Marmara University in 2016. His research area includes foreign direct investment, governance institutions and globalization and regional development.

Ferdane Denkci Akkaş holds dual PhDs in English Language Teaching and Educational Administration, both earned from Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. She serves as an Assistant Professor in the English Language Teaching Department at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Turkey. Her scholarly work includes publications focusing on English language teaching, teacher education, and educational administration. Her primary academic interests encompass English language teaching, teacher training, educational administration, and leadership in education.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet KAVASProf. Dr. Ahmet KAVAS was born in 1964 in Vezirköprü district of Samsun. After graduating from Amasya-Merzifon Imam Hatip Lisesi in 1982 and from Ankara University Faculty of Theology in 1987, he went to Paris on a scholarship from the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation between 1989 and 1996. There, he completed his master’s degree in 1991 on Libya among African countries and his doctorate in 1996 on the Republic of Mali. Until 2006, he worked as a researcher at the Islamic Research Center (commonly known as İSAM). During this period, he received the title of Associate Professor in 2002. Between 2006 and 2011, he served as a faculty member in Islamic History at Istanbul University Faculty of Theology, and in 2009 he was awarded the title of Professor. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Advisor to the Prime Ministry on issues related to Africa. Between 2011 and 2013, he continued his teaching duties at the Department of Political History in the International Relations Program of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University. From 2013 to 2015, he served as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Chad in N’Djamena, the capital of one of the first African countries where Türkiye opened an embassy. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University between 2015 and 2019. Between June 2020 and February 2023, he served as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Senegal in Dakar. In June 2025, he retired from his position as Ambassador at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Istanbul Ticaret University, and has been serving as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences since November 27, 2026. He conducts research particularly on Africa and has published books, articles, and entries in the Islamic Encyclopedia in this field. He speaks French, Arabic, and English. He is married and the father of three children.

Dr. Bashir Ahmed Jatoi is an Assistant professor in the Department of History at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan. He earned his PhD in World History (Global Studies) from Shanghai University, China, in 2025. With more than eighteen years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he has published extensively on South Asian history, colonial urbanization, environmental history, gender studies, and socio-political transformations in Pakistan. His recent scholarship focuses on rethinking historical methodologies in Pakistan by integrating global perspectives into urban and environmental history.

His current research interests include urban environmental history, climate change, human ecology, environmental governance, colonial and postcolonial urbanization, global health history, and the historical relationship between society and the natural environment in South Asia. Dr. Jatoi is particularly interested in exploring how historical approaches can contribute to contemporary debates on sustainability, climate resilience, environmental justice, and urban development. He serves on editorial and academic committees and actively promotes emerging fields such as environmental history, urban history, and interdisciplinary historical research in Pakistan
