THE EFFECT OF RELATION BETWEEN DIGITAL LEADERSHIP PRACTICE AND LEARNING ORGANIZATION ON THE PERCEPTION OF INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE

Abstract

Rapid changes in the technological field affect management practices and create new concepts. Digital leadership is one of the concepts that have entered the literature in recent years. Purpose: In this study, the perceptions of digital leadership and learning organization were investigated. The primary hypothesis of the study is the assumption that there is a positive correlation between the perception of digital leadership application and organizational learning. The scales that were developed by Ulutaş and Arslan (2018), Şahin, Çakır and Öztürk (2014), and Karakurum (2005) were combined and used in this study. Method: The research was conducted in banking and finance sector. 234 people participated in the online survey, and the questionnaires of 193 participants were available for analysis. The data was statistically analyzed with SPSS 25.0. Findings: As a result of the analysis, the effect of the relationship between digital leadership and learning organization on individual performance was found as statistically significant and the primary hypothesis of the study was accepted (p=0,000; p<0,001) and analyzes on demographic variables and the perception of individual performance and statistical significances were not found statistically significant. Originality: The fact that digital leadership is explained conceptually and being the first research on the relationship between digital leadership and learning organization in the banking sector stands out as the original aspect of the study.
