Redefining the Fundamental Questions in Religious Education
Abstract
Every researcher must answer some fundamental questions. What is the nature of the reality that I wish to study? (ontology) How will I know it? (epistemology) What must I do to know it? (methodology)? A new question has emerged as critical for qualitative researchers as well: Who am I? (social location). How does my social location and world view impact the research? For those of us in religious education, I would add yet one more, Where is God in this? (theology) Bu yazı, “Crain, Margaret Ann (2006). “Redefining the Fundamental Questions”, Religious Education, 101:4, 438-442.” künyeli makalenin çevirisidir. Makale başlığına “din eğitiminde (in religious education)” ifadesi çeviren tarafından eklenmiştir. Makalenin orijinal metninde yer alan dipnotlar, çeviride köşeli parantezler içerisinde verilmiştir. ** Yrd. Doç. Dr., Kastamonu Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi, acekin@kastamonu.edu.tr
