Buradaki temel gayenin ise Mekkî sûrelerde genel olarak işlenen Allah’ın eşi benzeri olmadığını ortaya koyma, inanç ve ahlaki değerlere vurgu, ahirette hesap verme, mizan, sırat, cennet ve cehennem gibi metafizik olguları izah etme, önceki kavimlerin durumları vb. hususlarda görülen eksiklikleri gidermeye yönelik muhatap kesimde ikna edici bir zihin dünyası oluşturma gibi noktalardan hareket edildiği düşünülmektedir.
