Başarı Odaklı Kurumlardaki Örgütsel Stresin Örgütsel Yaratıcılık Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract

Stres, bir yandan insan yaşamını tehdit eden ama aynı zamanda da hayatta
kalmasına yardım eden bir kavram olması nedeniyle pek çok disiplin tarafından
incelenmektedir. Yaratıcılık ise günümüzün rekabetçi dünyasında bireysel ve
örgütsel anlamda farklılaşabilmek için gerekli temel unsurlardan biri haline
gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, başarı odaklı kurumlardaki örgütsel stresin
çalışanların yaratıcılığı üzerindeki etkilerini sorgulamaktır. Bu doğrultuda,
İzmir ilinde faaliyet gösteren ve öğrencilerinin üniversiteyi kazanma oranı
açısından başarılı olan ilk üç eğitim kurumu çalışanları ile gerçekleştirilen
bir araştırmaya yer verilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında, survey yöntemi ve anket
tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. 200 öğretmen üzerinde gerçekleştirilen araştırmada,
örgütsel stresi ölçmek üzere House ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilmiş olan
15 maddelik “İş Stres Ölçeği”; yaratıcılığı ölçmek üzere ise Avrupa
Komisyonu’nun “Yaşamboyu Öğrenme Programı” kapsamında kullanmış olduğu 24
maddelik yaratıcılık ölçeği kullanılmıştır. 200 öğretmen üzerinde
gerçekleştirilen araştırma sonucunda yapılan analizler, örgütsel stres ile
yaratıcılık arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir.

The Effects of Organizational Stress on The Organizational Creativity in Success-Oriented Institutions

Abstract

Stress is being studied by many disciplines because it
is a concept that threatens human life, but at the same time helps to survive.
On the other hand, creativity has become one of the essential elements to be
able to differentiate in an individual and organizational sense in today's
competitive world. The aim of this study is to question the effects of
organizational stress on success-oriented institutions on the creativity of
employees. The research was carried out with three most successful educational
institutions in İzmir. The reason for choosing these institutions is their
success of university entrance exams. Survey method and questionnaire technique
were utilized in the aim of this study. To measure organizational stress a
15-item “Work Stress Scale” developed by House and colleagues and to measure
creativity, a 24-item creativity scale, which the European Commission used
within the “Lifelong Learning Program” were used. The results of the research
conducted on 200 teachers show that there is a significant relationship between
organizational stress and creativity.
