Possibilities of Feminist Subject In The Context of Contemporary Feminist Theories

Abstract

Feminism is one of the sub-disipline of the contemporary
philosophy in 19th century.  When
considered feminist concepts and questions, we will say that feminism is not
only one theoretical perspective and also feminist is not only a women. In this
article, we will focus on feminist theories, which come up against Humanism and
problems of Subject, while they build feminist subject. Then while researching
possibilities of feminist subject, first of all we will discuss concept and
historical background of humanism in terms of feminist critics. Based on this,
we will categorize modern and postmodern subject in two main ways with regard
to feminist critics of subject. First one is conceptual and second one is
historical backgrounds on modern&postmodern subject.  Our claim is “Feminist subject is a self which
is undefined sexed and / or gendered body. Feminist subject has a geneology
which can be read and written in the dynamic process.” In this claim we will
follow and criticize Simone de Beauvoir’s and Judiht Butler’s arguments on the
grounds of hermeneutics and phenomenology.

Çağdaş Feminist Kuramlar Açısından Feminist Öznenin İmkanı

Abstract

Feminizm özellikle 19.yy’dan sonra çağdaş felsefenin bir alt
disiplini olarak zuhur etmiştir. Soruları, kavramsallaştırmaları dikkate
alındığında feminizmin yekpare bir kadın hareketi ve feministi de sadece kadın
cinsiyetiyle adlandırılamayacağını söylemeliyiz. Bu makalede özellikle feminist
kuramların kendi öznelerini inşa ederken hümanizmle ve onun yol açtığı özne
sorunuyla yüzleşmesi üzerinde duracağız. Biz burada feminist öznenin imkanını
araştırırken öncelikle hakkında tartışmaların çokça yapıldığı hümanizm
kavramını ve tarihsel arka planını feminist eleştiriler ışığında ele alacağız.
Buradan hareketle modern ve postmodern özne olarak kategorilendirilen özne
sorununu eleştiriler doğrultusunda hem tarihsel hem de problematik olarak
sınıflayarak feminist özne eleştirileriyle karşılaştıracağız. “Feminist özne,
hem feminizmin hem de öznenin soykütüğü üzerinden okunabilecek,
konuşulabilecek, dinamik, biyolojik ve /veya toplumsal cinsiyetle önceden
belirlenmemiş beden sahibi performatif bir kendiliktir” iddiamızı Beauvoir’ın
ve Butler’ın kabullerini Hermeneutik ve Fenomenolojiden hareketle
temellendireceğiz.
