TÜRK BANKACILIK SEKTÖRÜNDE YABANCI GİRİŞİ: RİSK Mİ? FIRSAT MI?

Abstract

Türk ekonomisi 1980'li yıllarda ticari ve finansal liberalizasyon uygulamalarını kapsayan İstikrar Programı ile yapısal bir değişim sürecine girmiştir. Kasım 2000 ve Şubat 2001 krizlerinden sonra ise, yeni makro ekonomik çevre bankacılık sektöründe önemli bir transformasyon sürecinin yaşanmasına yol açmıştır. Bunun bir sonucu olarak son yıllarda Türk bankacılık sektöründe ön plana çıkan dikkat çekici gelişmelerden birisi yabancı banka girişinin hızla artmış olmasıdır. Bu makalenin amacı yabancı banka girişinin Türk finansal sektörü üzerindeki etkisini ekonomik ve sosyal bir çerçevede analiz etmektir.
