BİR ONUNCU YÜZYIL GRAMERCİSİNDE FELSEFENİN TANIMI

Abstract

Dördüncü/onuncu yüzyıla gelindiğinde İslâm dünyasında bilimsel ürün
vermeye çalışan müellifler için mantıksal ve felsefî konularla ilgilenmek
kaçınılmaz bir hâl aldı. Zira İslâm dünyasında kullanıma sokulan mantıksal ve
felsefî teoriler ve terminoloji, îslâmî ilimler dâhil tüm disiplinler üzerinde derin
bir etkiye yol açtı. Bu durum Müslüman gramerciler için de geçerli oldu.
Böylece onlar, yeni mantıksal-felsefî tarzı temsil edenlerin görüşlerini, kendi
bilimsel eserlerine dahil etme noktasında önemli gayretler gösterdiler. Kees
Versteegh, bu makalesinde, geleneksel doktrin ile mantıksal-felsefî unsurların
karışımının mükemmel bir örnekliğini teşkil eden ünlü bir gramerciyi, Ebu'lKâsım
'Abdurrahmân b. İshâk ez-Zeccâcî'yi (ö. 337/949 ya da 340/951) ele
almakta ve onun gramer çalışması olan Izah'ta 'felsefe'nin tanımıyla ilgili
açıklamalarını bu bağlamda incelemektedir. Bunu yaparken yazar, Zeccâcî'nin
'felsefe'yle ilgili olarak vermiş olduğu tanımları, Yunan, Süryanî ve Müslüman
geleneklerindeki diğer tanımlarla karşılaştırmakta ve bir takım etki ve geçişleri
detaylı bir incelemeye tabi tutmaktadır.
