FİNANSAL GELİŞME VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ARASINDAKİ NEDENSELLİK İLİŞKİSİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de finansal gelişme ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin 2003-2015 dönemine ait üç aylık veriler kullanılarak araştırılmasıdır. Finansal gelişme ölçütü olarak hisse senedi işlem hacminin GSYH’ya ve banka kredilerinin GSYH’ya oranı, ekonomik büyümenin göstergesi olarak ise reel GSYH büyüme oranı ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmamızda Granger nedensellik testi sonuçlarına göre iktisadi büyümeden finansal gelişmeye doğru tek yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi tespit edilmektedir. Bu bulgu literatürdeki “talep takibi” görüşünü destekler niteliktedir.
