HEMODİYALİZ UYGULANAN HASTALARDA ÖZ YETERLİLİK VE ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER

Abstract

Amaç: Öz yeterlilik düzeyi yüksek olan bireyler hastalık ve tedavilerini daha iyi yönetmektedirler. Öz yeterlilik düzeyinin yüksekliği, hastalığın birey üzerindeki emosyonel sıkıntılarını azaltabilir ve yaşam kalitesini yükseltebilir.Bu çalışmanın amacı hemodiyaliz (HD) uygulanan bireylerde öz yeterliliği değerlendirmek ve öz yeterliliği etkileyen faktörleri incelemektir.Gereç ve yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikte olan bu çalışma Sivas’ta Son Dönem Böbrek Yetmezliği (SDBY) olan ve hemodiyaliz uygulanan 125 hasta üzerinde yapılmıştır. Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Genel Öz Yeterlilik Ölçeği ile elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizi, SPSS programında yüzde hesaplama, ortalama, iki ortalama arasındaki farkın önemlilik testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Tukey testi, Kruskal-Wallis testi kullanılarak yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada yer alan hastaların öz yeterlilik düzeyi ortalama puanı düşük bulunmuştur. Örneklemin%41,6’sı 2–5 yıldır hemodiyaliz tedavisi almakta, % 90,4’ü haftada 3 kez hemodiyalize girmekte, %68,8’inin SDBY dışında başka kronik hastalığı bulunmaktadır. Hastaların Öz yeterlilik düzeyini; yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, çalışma durumu, gelir düzeyi ve hemodiyaliz uygulama sıklığı etkilerken (p < 0,05); medeni durum ve ikamet edilen yer etkilememiştir. Ayrıca, hemodiyaliz uygulanan merkez, başka kronik hastalığın olması ve hastalık süresi ile toplam öz yeterlilik puanı arasında da istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmamıştır (p > 0,05). Sonuç: Hemodiyaliz işlemi, hastaların öz yeterlilik düzeyini etkilemektedir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda, hemodiyaliz uygulanan hastaların öz yeterlilik düzeylerini arttıracak eğitim programlarının düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir. Öz yeterlilik eğitim programı öz-bakım davranışlarının kazandırılmasında hastaların kendilerine güvenini arttırıcı özellikte olmalıdır.
