Abstract
Brusellozisin çocukluk çağında nörolojik komplikasyonları nadir görülür ve genellikle santral sinir sisteminin akutenfeksiyonu şeklinde seyreder. Dokuz yaşında kız hasta, kliniğimize halsizlik, şiddetli baş ağrısı, sağ gözde dahabelirgin olmak üzere bilateral görmede azalma şikayeti ile başvurdu. Dört ay önce pastörize edilmemiş sütten yapılmış peynir yeme hikayesi bulunan hastada, optik diskin fundoskopik muayenesinde bilateral papilla ödemi vehemoraji vardı. Serumda standart brusella tüp aglütinasyon testi (Wright testi) 1/320 titrede (+), Coombs ile 1/1280titrede (+), beyin omurilik sıvısının ELİSA ile incelenmesinde brusella IgG (+) olarak saptandı. Doksisiklin, rifampisin ve gentamisin ile tedavi edildi. Tedaviden dört hafta sonra papilla ödemi geriledi ve 8 hafta sonunda tamamen iyileşti. On aylık izlemde relaps gözlenmedi
