FELİN KORNEA NEKROZU VE KONJUNKTİVAL PEDİKÜLLÜ GREET İLE OPERATİF SAĞALTIMI

Özet

Bu çalışmada, felin komea nekrozu tanısı konulan, 6 kedinin, toplam 7 gözünün operatif sağaltım sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Keratektonıi uygulanan 7 olgunun 6'sı, lezyonlu alana konjunktival pediküllü greft konularak, diğeri lokal ilaç uygulamasıyla sağaltılmıştır. Hastaların sağaltımları sonucunda: 2 gözde orta dereceli, 3 gözde hafif, 2 gözde ise belli belirsiz bir iz dokusu kaldığı görülmüştür. Elde edilen bulgulara göre bu tekniğin sağaltım sonrası hastalarda iz dokusuna bağlı belirgin bir görüş kaybına rastlanmaması, özel ekipman ve preoperatif hazırlık gerektirmemesi ve başka bir hayvandan sağlanacak greft materyaline gereksinim duyulmaması gibi avantajları saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak felin kornea nekrozunun sağaltımında, keratektomi sonrası uygulanan konjunktival pediküllü greft yönteminin pratik ve etkili olduğu kanısına varılmıştır.

FELINE CORNEAL NECROSIS AND ITS SURGICAL TREATMENT USING A CONJUNCTIVAL PEDICLE GRAFT

Abstract

In this study, the clinical results were evaluated of lamellar keratectomie and conjunctival pedicle graft applications, used in the treatment of a total of 7 eyes in 6 cats diagnosed with feline corneal necrosis. Six of the 7 cases, in which keratectomie was carried out, were treated by placing a conjunctival pedicle graft in the area with the lesion and the remaining case was treated by administering local medication. After surgical treatment of the patients, scar tissue that was observed was moderate in 2 eyes, slight in 3 eyes and faint in 2 eyes. According to our findings, advantages of this method were: no significant loss of vision due to scar tissue in the post-treatment period of the patients, the fact that this technique did not require any specific equipment or pre-operative preparation and that graft material did not have to be obtained from another animal. Finally, it was observed that, in the treatment of feline cornea necrosis, the conjunctival pedicle graft method applied after keratectomie is practical and effective.
